Well it took us long enough, but we’ve finally gotten the video of this past season’s Christmas display up for all to see. We used a different camera this year and not everything fit in a single view, so we used two angles and combined them in to a one video. We also opted to provide a single video of the entire display rather than individual videos of each song. This should provide a more immersive experience. Lastly, we increased the video quality. Most broadband users will be able to play it right away, but some may need to let it load first for uninterrupted playback. If you have a 1.5Mbit connection or better then you should be all set. Happy-belated Holidays! Merry Christmas in July! …And get ready for Halloween!
Feel free to discuss this on Facebook!
The display won’t be turned on full time until Dec 6th, but you can check out a few pics now on the new Photos page.
Have a look!
We’ve synchronized the Halloween lights to “Thriller”. If you happen to be within sight of the house and the lights are on, tune in to 96.9FM to hear the show.
UPDATE: Halloween is over but you can still check this out on The Video Page.
This was sort of a dry run for Christmas this year, and we identified and fixed several issues. Now that we’ve put all the orange away expect to see winter elements hitting the lawn soon. The Mega-Tree pole should be up any day now.
After 10 months of off and on preparation to get the display up, we finally have the website up. I (Phil) have been so busy with my work with InterFix Communications that I haven’t had time until now.
But here we are… You can expect regular updates on the display as work progresses towards the Christmas season.
We plan to have the display up and running by December 6th, at 5 PM.
